About Me

I recently came upon a short story I wrote for an English enrichment class when I was six years old. In the About the Author section, I stated proudly that I would grow up to be a groundbreaking reporter. Though this may now seem like childish naivety, the ambition to reach my potential as a journalist has only intensified with age.
After succumbing to my reporting cravings and leaving my job in Canada’s Prime Minister’s Office, I moved to the Big Apple last month to take on New York University’s graduate journalism program.
And so for the next 16 months I plan to be a sponge: a sponge that might get wrung out every now and then, but one that will absorb the skills necessary to become a “groundbreaking” reporter – whatever that may come to mean.
